BOW THRUSTER REMOVAL AND OVERHAUL
Dry dock was not an option for this repair. This vessel exceeded available facilities in part of Halifax. CME prepared and executed a shift of the ships ballast. To raise the bow from the water and made the thruster accessible for removal. After overhaul at CME shops for repair of damaged components, the thruster was reinstalled and ship could proceed. This method returned essential maneuverability and allowed the ship to continue with deliveries.
